Students will obtain a start to finish education on the use of Oxygen Forensic® Detective. The course adds to the Basic and Expert course by introducing advanced methods of Smart Device collections and data analysis. Students will examine collect and analyze data from iOS, Android, and Windows Phone smart devices. Students will work to obtain physical images, understand file system formats, storage methods and evidence locations. Students receive training and instruction on Cloud Storage and extraction techniques using Oxygen Forensic® Detective. SQLite database data is extremely important to today’s smart device examinations. Not only will students receive training on the SQLite database format and creating SQL queries, but Property Lists, recovering deleted data, write-ahead-logs, shared-memory-files and interpreting database artifacts using the SQLite Viewer and secondary tools are covered.See the Classroom
This 3 day course is designed for those investigators with a need to be able to access more complex Cellphone situations. This course is an advanced course requiring an understanding of cellphone technology and basic electronics.

HTCI offers the student a first class experience. The computer classroom is designed to hold up to 18 students. Each student has their own computer with dual monitors. The seating is comfortable and designed to allow the student to be able to sit for extended periods. The classroom offers high definition displays that allow the student to see the instructor Power Points and lessons clearly from several angles. The instructor has many training tools at his disposal. This hands on training classroom was designed to provide the student with an imersive environment bringing real world collection techniques to the student. In the “real world” cell phones and digital media are not gathered in a pristine classroom environment. Many times our students will need to collect media from the mud and water after an RCIED in theater. This hands on lab lets the students experience the collection of media from a water and mud environment. The students in this classroom will learn to collect, process, dry and then extract the data from the devices collected. This classroom really provides an eye opening event for the student.See the Classroom
This hands on training classroom was designed to provide the student with an imersive environment bringing real world collection techniques to the student. The student is provided all the tools needed to gather and collect data from a suspect device. The student will use devices that will allow the JTAG method to extract data in as pristine a manner as possible. This lab will also allow the student to experience collecting chips from a circuit board using standard rework stations and newer Infra Red rework stations. Students in this classroom will have the hands experience needed to be able to remove chips from circuit boards when they return back to their lab or department.See the Classroom
